Culture Night 2025 - Circles of Remembrance
Culture Night 2025
Can you make light art with a 400-year-old brick?
On Culture Night on October 10th this year, history lights up on Slotsholmen!
Together with the Danish Parliament, the War Museum and the Royal Library, we have created four unique light installations. Together they spread out over Slotsholmen and merge into one large, unified light installation.
The work connects us in time, storytelling, memory and identity. Each light projection shoots light through a very special and site-specific material - and at the Danish Jewish Museum it is a 400-year-old brick from the museum's walls, which were built by Chr. 4.
The work is called “Circles of Memory” and is created by the artist collaboration Båll & Brand, who work with visual and auditory works. You can meet Båll & Brand in the video above and hear more about the light installation.
The work can be experienced all evening at Kulturnatten, so come by Slotsholmen and see the four unique works!
Time and date: Friday, October 10th from 18pm-midnight
