The Little Culture Night 2025
Fairytale traditions

Join us as the Danish Jewish Museum invites children and their adults to explore an adventurous tradition.
This year, The Little Cultural Night coincides with the Jewish holiday Purim - a day rich in tradition with masks, costumes and delicious food.
Together we will delve into the tradition. You can make your own mask with beautiful beads and feathers or build a noisy rattle to scare away the evil Haman!
We offer a cup of hot cocoa and coffee for the adults. And then the whole family can taste the traditional triangular cookies, hamantaschen.
Purim honors Queen Esther, who saved the Jewish people from the evil Haman in the Book of Esther from the Old Testament.
Come by and join us for an adventurous evening!
Did you know that traditions like New Year's, Halloween, and Shrove Tuesday also use costumes and noise to keep evil away? Like the masks and rattles of Purim!
There is free admission to the Danish Jewish Museum and our activities with a valid cultural pass. The cultural pass also gives access to many other fun activities at Den Lille Kulturnat! You can buy it here from March 3, 2025.
