Fiddler on a Rooftop

07/05/26

Lectures

Come to a lecture at Aalborg Theatre!

As an appetizer or epilogue to Aalborg Theatre's installation will curator at the Danish Jewish Museum Sara Fredfeldt Stadager take us around the themes of the play.

Fiddler on the Roof is a timeless classic, but what is it really about? And what can we learn about Jewish culture through fiction?

In this introduction, we will look at the Jewish traditions that unfold in the performance and look at the development of the traditions from the creation of the story to the design of the musical and its modern performance.

What can it actually teach us about Jewish culture and traditions? And are there any threads to Danish-Jewish culture?

Performance introductions at Aalborg Theatre take place in the theatre's cozy 'Gerdas Salon', where there is the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine in the soft furniture and it is recommended that you buy a ticket and see the performance one of the days following the lecture.

The lecture is held in collaboration with the Danish Jewish Museum, Aalborg Theatre and the Folkeuniversitetet.
