Projects

LILMOD – is a new pedagogical and didactic foundation for exhibition development, teaching and dissemination at the Danish Jewish Museum

Lilmod is Hebrew for learning, and in the project we explore how the museum's architecture and stories can be put into play in elementary school teaching.

The Danish Jewish Museum wants to create an educational framework and practice for learning about Jewish life in Denmark over 400 years. Based on the Holocaust as part of the primary school's history canon, we want to help students understand and put the Jewish action in perspective - both in a Danish and international context.

The project is developed in close collaboration with the School Service, which has extensive experience in developing teaching courses that engage students and strengthen their historical understanding. Together, we ensure that the teaching at the museum is not only historically accurate, but also educationally innovative and relevant, so that the students have a reflective and meaningful learning experience.

The project has received support from the Danish Agency for Palaces and Culture.

The project runs from 2024 - 2027
