Podcast

New episodes of the podcast series have just been released. Something to talk aboutThis time the series offers exciting conversations based on the exhibition. Left behind. Janina Katz and the Polish Jews in Denmark, where literature, history and identity are at the center. In the years 1969-1973, around 3000 Polish Jewish refugees came to Denmark fleeing persecution in communist Poland.

One of them was the Danish Polish Jewish writer Janina Katz, who came to Denmark in 1970. With her writing as a prism, we unfold the story. You can listen right here or in the app you usually use to listen to podcasts. Just search for Something to talk about.

In addition, you can listen to a current conversation between Jan Schwarz and Laimis Breidis about the 100th anniversary of YIVO – the Yiddish Scientific Institute – and the institute's importance for Yiddish culture and research. If you are interested, you can come to a lecture with Jan Schwarz about YIVO on Thursday, April 23rd.

The conversation about YIVO was recorded in collaboration with the Lithuanian Cultural Institute.
