The Andes Literary history
The Danish Jewish Museum and associate professor Søren Blak Hjortshøj and the Department of Culture and Linguistics at the University of Southern Denmark and the University Library of Southern Denmark, Odense, are spotlighting the Jewish authors from the 1800th century and the beginning of the 20th century who have been forgotten in Danish literary history. All of this literature has helped shape modern Denmark.
We will do this through a book, a thematic traveling exhibition and lectures throughout the country, over the next 3 years.
The project is in collaboration with the Danish Jewish Museum, the University of Southern Denmark and the University Library of Southern Denmark. The project has received support from the Danish Agency for Palaces and Culture's special fund for information on Jewish life and culture in Denmark 2022-2025.
The project runs from 2025 - 2028
