Access to the collection

The collection of the Danish Jewish Museum provides an important basis for new research and the museum receives a growing number of requests from scholars, researchers and students, who wish to access the collection.

It is possible to browse and search the collection records from two on-line databases, known as "Kunstindeks Danmark" (Art Index Denmark) and "Museernes samlinger" (The Collections of Danish Museums). Kunstindeks Danmark is available in an English version, whereas Museernes Samlinger is only available in Danish.

Search the collection at Museernes Samlinger (only in Danish).

Search the artworks of the collection at Kunstindeks Danmark (English version).

The Danish Jewish Museum's research project about the wartime experiences of Danish Jews 1943-1945 has contributed significantly to the collection. You can read more about the project and find a guide to the collected materials here.

If you wish to study collection materials on-site at the museum, please search the collection and note the specific inventory numbers that you are interested in, before contacting the museum.
