Things tell history. Some people have saved mementos from Theresienstadt or from their time in exile in Sweden. To look at them is to remember. Things serve as evidence, and they can be hard to discard, just as the memories are.
Common to all the things is the persecution of the Jews. The Danish Jews would have owned none of these many things but for that.
